Laetare Younger Singer’s Bursary

Aim: To encourage singers below the age of 45 to attend a Laetare residential event, particularly those for whom the full fee seems daunting.

What is on offer:  A place on a Laetare residential course at a cost of £150 less than the advertised fee.

A limited number of discretionary bursaries will be available for singers attending their first Laetare residential course. Applicants should have a reasonable standard of sight reading to manage the sort of music that is selected for Laetare events.

As for many other choirs, Laetare is often short of tenors and basses, so bursary applications for these sections are particularly welcome.

Before applying for a bursary, applicants should read the information on this website to get an idea of what to expect from a Laetare event. They should then contact the Treasurer with any questions and then send them the application form which will be treated as confidential.
